Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the demon king Ravana worshipped Shiva here and attempted to take the Jyotirlinga to Lanka. The temple, located in Deoghar, has been a major pilgrimage center for centuries and is also revered as a Shakti Peetha.
